Silver bush lupine (Lupinus albifrons) is native to California and Southern Oregon where it's found growing on dry slopes and flats in many plant communities below 5,000 feet. It has a large and diverse range that covers Southern Oregon, California's Coast Ranges from Humboldt County south to Santa Barbara County, the north slope of the Western Transverse Ranges of Ventura and Los Angeles counties and the Sierra Nevada foothills from Shasta to Tulare counties.
