Arctostaphylos 'Sentinel'

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Prune once a year as needed.  If possible, do any pruning during the dry months to avoid fungal pathogens getting into the plant through the cut (the risk of this happening is much lower in the dry months).  Any pruning should enhance the natural shape of the plant; don't shear manzanitas into boxes or balls!  Remove any dead stems at the base.
